Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 30, 2026
What we collect
- Quote requests: your name, phone number, email, town or ZIP code, the service you need, your description of the project, and your consent choice.
- Email signups: your email address.
- Contact messages: your name, email, and message.
- Technical details sent with a form: the page you submitted it from, how you arrived (referring page and campaign tags such as utm_source), the time, your browser type, and a one-way hashed version of your IP address used only for spam and abuse prevention.
How we use it
- To pass your quote request to a local contractor who may contact you by phone, text, or email about your project. That contractor may pay us a referral fee (see How We Make Money).
- To email you new guides if you signed up. Every email will include a way to unsubscribe.
- To answer messages you send us, and to keep the forms free of spam.
What we don't do
- We do not sell or rent our email signup list.
- We do not share quote request details with anyone other than the contractor(s) handling your request and the service providers that run this website.
Service providers and cookies
This site is hosted on Cloudflare, which also provides our spam protection (Cloudflare Turnstile). Turnstile may process limited device and browser information to tell people from bots.
Analytics (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics to measure how many people visit, which pages they read, and how they found us, so we can see which guides are useful. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and sends Google usage data such as the pages you view, the time spent, your approximate location, device and browser type, and the referring site. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy; see how Google uses information from sites that use its services. We use it only to understand site traffic. The details you type into our forms are not sent to Google Analytics, and we do not use advertising cookies.
To opt out, you can install Google's Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use a browser or extension that blocks tracking scripts. The site works normally either way.
Your choices
You can ask us to stop contacting you, or to correct or delete your information, at any time through our contact page. You can also tell any contractor who contacts you to stop.
Children
This site is meant for adult homeowners and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
